Taiga tempature can drop down to -65°F in the winter season and in the summer it can go up to 120°F. The taiga has lots of flora like pine trees and coniferous trees. Those trees are what the Taiga is known for most.

Taiga is also know as the coniferous forest and and boreal forest.Taiga is very cold so the animals that live there need thick fur.The soil you would find in taiga is not so rich soila and is quite rocky. There is loads of wildlife in the tagia. Some of the main animals are: wolves, bears, raccoons, snow hare, etc.

WHAT ARE THE THREATS IN THE TAIGA?
One of the biggest threats in the taiga is deforestation. People cut down so many trees sometimes for fun or for paper, furniture, buildings etc. Some people even do it in restricted areas which is illegal and sometimes don't get caught. People also cut down trees so they can replace that area a big factory. That causes two big problems. First of all they are cutting down trees and second of all it pollutes the forest so its destroying habitats. The wildlife habitat is like a continuos circle. The biggest animals eat the smaller animals and the smaller animals eat the even smaller animals and so on but if one of those type of animals doesn't exist anymore the the continuos circle is broken and the other animals will soon also b extinct.

Some groups of wildlife discoverers have protected some areas all over the world and people discuss about the threats and then try to take action. They put protected areas so people don't damage that area. They also report people who are going against poaching or deforestation, mining etc. in illegal areas. They put restricted areas around the places that are getting endangered by deforestation and poaching etc.

They try to help people understand that our earth is our only home so if you destroy it, your home is gone.
